TALLINN — An ordinary sauna in Tallinn has become the center of a heroic standoff as local resident Peeter, 37, has reportedly refused to leave until the Wi-Fi signal returns. Peeter, who entered the sauna with his smartphone and a sense of purpose, was last seen demanding better connection and offering free advice on achieving optimal sauna etiquette to confused visitors.

”All I wanted was to roast and scroll simultaneously. Priorities!” said Peeter. “But the Wi-Fi signal dropped right when I was about to watch my favorite cooking show. I can’t just go outside without knowing who won the ‘MasterChef: Saunas Edition.’”

The situation escalated as friends and family were called to the scene, bringing snacks and leib (black bread) in a bid to lure Peeter out. As night fell, he declared himself “Wi-Fi Warrior of the North” and promised to stay “as long as it takes.”

”If the internet is down, we are all down. Wi-Fi is life!”

Attempts by sauna users to convince him with the allure of cold beer have also failed, as Peeter insists he has “a data plan to respect.”

Reports indicate other sauna enthusiasts have joined forces outside, turning this into a spontaneous protest for better connectivity. “We stand with Peeter!” shouted Aivo, who chucked thermal towels at the entrance for emphasis.

As the standoff continues, local authorities remain calm, offering the first responders a chance to suggest satellite sauna options to Peeter, should the situation stretch beyond a cozy evening.

At press time, Peeter was last seen still inside the sauna, singing the national anthem in a poorly rendered key while power-loading leib.
