TALLINN — Aivo Jürgenson, a 32-year-old accountant from Tallinn, has launched a podcast focusing exclusively on the art of collecting, studying, and discussing receipts. After his first episode went live, he gained 5000 e-residents from 27 different countries interested in the nuances of Finnish grocery store receipts.
”I was inspired by the variety of receipts I collected while grocery shopping at Rimi and Selver,” Aivo stated. “Did you know there’s a specific way to fold them for maximum preservation? It’s something that could change people’s lives!”
Aivo claims that while most podcasts focus on entrepreneurship or wellness, his project aims to enlighten listeners on something truly groundbreaking. “For too long, people have ignored receipt culture. It’s time we respect the printed paper that quietly documents our caffeine addiction and love for leib,” he declared proudly.
The first episode, titled “How to Argue With Your Partner Over a Misplaced Receipt,” quickly went viral. Fans praise Aivo for his deadpan delivery and absurd take on mundane topics.
”My favorite part is when he debates the merits of adding ketchup receipt categories!”
At press time, Aivo was preparing for a special episode featuring prominent guests, including an old-school cash register and a postal scale.
