TALLINN — In a baffling mix-up, local resident Mart Pärn was seen celebrating wildly after spotting what he believed was a Tesla charging station near his home. Fellow residents were prepared to applaud his eco-conscious discovery, only to find out it was actually a traditional wooden sauna.

”I was just so excited to see something modern in our old neighborhood,” said Mart, his face red from the cold and embarrassment. “It looked very high-tech with all those cables.”

Eyewitnesses reported that Mart approached the sauna as if it were a gateway to the future, raising his phone to display his Tesla app over and over.

“He kept saying he’d just hit the jackpot,”

However, the only connection to a modern Tesla was a nearby power line and a rusted bicycle parked next to the sauna.

Continuing the confusion, Mart was later overheard calling for “premium charging” from the sauna owner, who was evidently preparing for a gathering around a wood-fired stove.

This incident has launched a new wave of jokes among locals. One meme captured the essence of the bizarre event with the caption: “First e-Estonian sauna, now electric. Next up: sauna full of start-up ideas!”

At press time, Mart was trying to convince everyone that the sauna could double as a supercharging station with enough imagination.
